Solving an Slope Intercept Equation

Solving an Slope Intercept equation Homework: Due Friday, Nov. 23. On you blog solve the point-slope equation above (slope = -2 & the X1,Y1 point is 8,4) (y-4)=-2(x-8) +4 +4 Y=-2 (x-4) Y= x-2

  1. Your post should actually read converting point-slope form to slope-intercept form.

    To prevent any confusion, you should distribute the multiplication first -2(x-8) so you get -2x + 16. Then you get y-4 = -2x + 16 Adding 4 to each side you get y = -2x + 20
