Solving Slope intercept Form

There are two planets of the same size. On both planets there are space donkeys that produce oxygen. On planet A there is less donkeys than planet B. Planet A has at the beginning 10 megatons of oxygen, while planet B has 5 megatons. From this problem my class and I had to determine where do we put the why intercept the x intercept and to determine what is the slope. We used the slope-intercept formula, which is the most practical for this type of problem. the slope intercept formula goes (y-y1)=m(x-x1). Thus into this formula we had to plug in the information that is being given to us into the equation and solve it. Since in class we changed the numbers in the scenario the equation will look different. Planet A m=3mt/wk Planet B m (25,30) So resulting from this we can see what information we are given in this scenario. Planet A has a slope or constant rate of increasing oxygen which is in this case 3 megatons per week. On the other hand, for planet B we have only the coordinates which show a certain point. Sloving the problem using Slope Intercept form (y-15)=1(X-10) +15 +15 Y=1(X+5) Y= x+5 This was the first trial of solving slope intercept form equations, the second trial uses the same formula just slightly different numbers in them. (y-20)=1(x-25) +20 +20 we are adding twenty to both sides in order to cancel out the twenty in the equation. afterwards... Y=1(x-5) Y=x-5 And the third trial uses again the same formula just know the number values are different. (Y- -10)=1(x- -25) -10 -10 We are subtracting 10 because in the equation y and the number in the parentheses are both negative, thus they will turn into a positive. Y=1(x+35) Y=x+35

During the last week in Standard Math class, we have started learning a new formula in the system of equations. The formula is Point Slope form. This Formula is very practical for using when you just know the slope of the graph and its y and x intercept. Other than Point form and standard form, the slope intercept form may look difficult on the first look but when solving it becomes very easy. The definition of point slope form is. Point-Slope Equation of a Line y – y1 = m(x – x1), where m is the slope and (x1, y1) is a point on the line. Point-slope is the form used most often when finding the equation of a line. After finding the solution you would put it in a graph and trying to find what is a slope and both y and x intercept.

We will solve this by using the y=mx+b formula which is also known as the slope intercept formula which is mostly used in order to graph. Learner Profile

Today we have studied the Mathamaticall Learner Profiles in Math class. The learner Profiles names are completely the same just like the ISB ones. But, the discription is sligh different. The discriptions are the same just involved in math. I have noticed that I am very knowlegable, but not very much in math. I noticed that I am very much caring and i am also a thinker or a problem solver. What i have to work on is to be a risk taker and to be more opend minded. Thus, means that i have to try out some different methods in math and some different ways how to solve a math problem. And being a risk taker means as well trying new stuff and having no clue of how this might look like. These are the two learner profiles that I have to work on in order to flufill this years expectations in Standard Math.

The old National Bank has rose charities in the local orphanages; and has donated money for renovating the birth house of the first president of the United States who was George Washington. In the year of 2007 the Old National Bank was elected to be a company which would be included in the Worlds Ethical Companies. Ethical means that the company has a special benefit to its country but that it does it not harm it in the same time. The ethical companies have approved that the Old National Bank is an Ethical Company I the World. These are the reasons why I should invest in this company.

VARK Reflection

During the last week in Math class, my class and I have investigated how do we learn the best. We used a special website called VARK which is a website which measures you ways in learning. It simply tells you are you a visual learner, Oral, Read or write learner, or kinesthetic. From my results I can see that i am the lowest in visual which suprises me very much. The highest I got in kinstethic. Kinestheetic means that you learn the best when you have hands on activities which I like very much. From my expectations I thought that I would have the least in Read and Write but that was my second best one.
